BLUE BIO ACTIVATOR
More oval and harmonic arch shape, characteristic of an equally oval face contour.Cranial index: MESOCEPHALUS
AMCOP Bio Activators have a buccal and a lingual flange that leave a free central area in which the teeth are positioned without any kind of constriction. These double flanges are linked together by an occlusal guide which has the purpose of keeping the two arches in normo-occlusion. AMCOP Bio Activators have no indentations. In this way, both dental arches are simultaneously involved with a multidimensional orthopedic action of repositioning them; this stabilization in a multidimensional sense, accompanied by the correction of the oro-pharyngeal neurovegetative functions (such as the correct posture of the tongue at rest, the correct swallowing and nasal breathing in oral respirators), allows to make the correction more stable over time an, therefore, allows a more complete therapy and not susceptible to relapse. AMCOP Bio Activators are extremely valid aids that have some advantages over others. The devices can be considered real arch harmonizers and, through the plastic effect, allow a true expansive and growth stimulation of the maxillary and mandibular skeletal bases and, at the same time, orient the exchange of the teeth in a correct relationship with the bone bases in a suitable occlusal balance. The devices are able to provide a specific occlusal release and consequent joint rebalancing (TMJ), as well as a correct functioning of the neuro-muscular system and, therefore, of the orofacial musculature.
AMCOP Elastic Bio Activators are characterized by a complete range of arch harmonizing devices. The devices are distinguished by different colors, including the cases that contain them, and the devices are marked with different letters and numbers. The devices are available in a complete kit of four types of different first class arch shapes in relation to the type of cranial conformation, for an orthopedic functional action. There are also devices for second and third classes and devices for very young children when they have arches with deciduous teeth (milk teeth), when there are deviations of the dental arches associated with craniofacial discrepancies and also pacifier-like devices for early and interceptive treatment, considering that dental movement in young children is simple, because the periodontal fibers are still immature. All devices have been designed and manufactured for an expansive effect of the dental arches. They are therefore suitable for mouths with only deciduous teeth, for mouths with mixed dentition and for adults with complete dentition of permanent teeth. The activator has limitations regarding the rotation of the canines, premolars and molars, transverse wisdom teeth, mesialized teeth, severe skeletal dysmorphosis and in a condition of generalized mobility of the teeth in an advanced stage. The range comes in two versions called AMCOP INTEGRAL Bio-Activator and AMCOP BASIC Bio-Activator. The AMCOP INTEGRAL Bio-Activator is a more specifically orthopedic device, stabilizer of the mouth balance, complete with all the necessary elements for a correct function of the whole Dento-Cranio-Facial system. Also suitable for muscle-tension problems, swallowing, breathing, snoring and bruxism. The AMCOP BASIC Bio-Activator is an arch harmonizing device more specifically indicated for deep bites (deep-byte).
In the 1950s, prof. Soulet and Besombes of the French school of functionalist orthopedics created a new orthodontic device, with elastic characteristics and rubber material called SB. The activator was used as a true functional-orthopedic device in the cranial-mandibular relationship and as a growth stimulator for a correct chewing function. Prof Besombes defined this therapy as interception orthopedics (mastic-reflex therapy). The goal was to position the mandible correctly through the action of the upper jaw, so as to act on the tensions of the sutures and cranial structures, renormalizing the position of the different bones of the entire craniofacial system, with the consequent tooth positioning, determined by this new bone balance.
The hygiene of the activator must be done daily with mouthwashes based on natural essences (no chemicals - no alcohol), immersing the device in it for a few minutes and letting it air dry. Alternatively, it is advisable to immerse the activator in a container (glass of water) with a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate. In case of various types of allergic reactions to the mucous membranes, it is advisable to suspend the treatment and consult the dentist who prescribed it. The appliance must be replaced if torn, punctured or when due to deformations due to use, it tends to lose its effectiveness.
AMCOP Bio Activators are medical devices made with certified materials. The material used is a polymer / elastomer blend that has heat-activated characteristics of high elasticity for a better functional, orthopedic and neuromuscular action. The materials used are available in different grades of SHORE consistency, the choice of hardness is dictated by the operational needs that the clinical case presents. BIOCOMPATIBILITY (ISO 10993-1) and PERFORMED TESTS: the tests required by the ISO 10993-1 regulation were performed on finished AMCOP Bio Activators (thermoplastic material + glue). In vitro tests were also carried out for the identification of phthalates and proteins derived from latex. NOT CYTOTOXIC according to the UNI EN ISO 10993-5:2009 standard LATEX FREE according to the ASTM D7424 standard FREE OF PHTHALATES according to the UNI EN ISO 10993-12:2012 and UNI EN ISO 10993-18:2009 standardNOT IRRITANT (Irritation of the oral mucosa) according to the UNI EN ISO 10993-10 standardNOT SENSITIZING (Allergic sensitization) according to the UNI EN ISO 10993-10 standard
The therapy is based on the use of the activator during the day and at night. The day: Exercises in active phase during the day At night: Hold the device in the mouth in a passive condition. Initially the activator must be worn during the day; the patient must carry out the functional rehabilitation exercises of swallowing and nasal breathing and continue with the nibbling for a period of 20/30 minutes maximum, 3 times a day. After about 1 week, the activator is also worn at night, allowing the patient to breathe through his nose. It is possible that some people lose the activator during sleep the first few nights, especially patients who breathe through the mouth, but with constant use they will be able to keep the device until the morning. Upon awakening it is easy to feel sensitivity to the incisors, especially the lower ones, but after removing the activator this sensation will disappear in about 30 minutes. The device must not injure cheeks and gums; if this happens it will be necessary to make the necessary adjustments. It is important that the teeth are always well cleaned during use to avoid bleeding due to gingivitis. RECOMMENDATIONS:For the success of the treatment, the exercises must be carried out according to a specific protocol. Daily use of the activator is essential. During the use of the device you should not feel symptoms such as: STRONG tension, contraction, pain in the teeth, mouth, neck, neck back etc... A specific cranio-sacral postural exercise is also recommended, to be performed in position supine. The dentist will advise the patient more specifically.
Cranio-mandibular orthopedic therapies by means of AMCOP Bio Activators procure situations of temporomandibular stress that determine a dento-skeletal-craniofacial system. >>>MORE INDICATIONS<<<
